Marigold and the Marvelous Misfits
It is the first day of middle school for Marigold Stroop, and she stumbles in her ugly, yellow shoes and orange socks toward the bus stop. Taunted for her stuttering, anxiety, and the way she dresses, eleven-year-old Marigold is, as usual, fresh fodder for cruel bullies. A victim to kids' evil words and being friendless for so many years, she develops a Plan, something that will sweep her to a place where she will never have to deal with this bullying again. A huge black bird, nobody else seems to notice, soars overhead.
Misfit Mayhem
Marigold Stroop joins the other Misfits in this second book of the Misfit series. Together, the group of kids travel in a huge basket held in Sinbad’s mouth over the Caribbean to Jamaica. There, they engage in a search and rescue to try and locate a missing Misfit leader. Mrs. Hernandez, school principal and Misfit leader journeys with them aboard Sinbad’s back.
SLIMY SCUMBUCKETS
Slimy kids, (Scummies), metamorphosed from river creatures into middle school kids, arrive in Fremont. Their agenda? Kill anyone they deem different. They have been taught by Mrs Grittle (Book 3), and hate kids of different colors, religions, cultures, fat kids, skinny kids, rich and poor kids. Those who wear the “wrong”clothes or shoes and kids with physical or mental challenges are also in their radar.
